Ms. Munchie update!

I haven't put up pictures of ms. Munchie, so here are just a few until I can get them up!
We sure do love her! I must admit our world revolves around her!!

This is my FAVORITE outfit!! she looks so big!

While running errands I glanced at her in the rearview and had to snap a picture of how she was sitting...this is now her favorite way to sit! Silly girl!

You can't see the water to great, but she loves to spit the water down her face and clothes...she soaked her self! ( I put the clothes out on the side walk to dry so she could wear them later, but a dumb bird pooped on the sleeve of her shirt! dumb bird!!) and getting her to hold still for more than 2 seconds is seriously a miracle...one that I did not accomplish with this picture!

REMODEL!!! WA-HOO...

What a project...now I want the complete remodel to be a surprise, so all the befores and afters will come.
When we decided to do this, we knew it was going to be a lot of work, a lot of late hours, and even some moments of frustration with the whole thing...but with that said it is coming along, and I can not wait!! (thank goodness for such a hard working hubby! and a always willing to help dad, or this project would never get done! I am one spoiled girl!)
Day one:
ripped out the kitchen floor and knocked down one wall of our mini cabinets

Mike tearing out the countertops...don't worry we used our safety goggles! Isn't he a babe!
Day 2:
My great dad came over to help us finish knocking out the kitchen and also to tear up the dining room floor! Day 2 was SOOO much harder. Mike told me it was because I was tired, and lets be honest I just wanted to remodel fairy to come and have it be done...I am not the most patient person in the world, so I just wanted it done!

End of day two:
looking into the dining room
looking into the kitchen
where the sink and cabinets were

End of day 3:
Day three wasn't as big of a day as the first two, but it was still a big deal for us! When we started the remodel we found out that the one wall we wanted to be gone was a supporting wall, but thanks to my dad he and Mike found a solution so that my wall could still come down!! YAY, YAY, YAY!!! so the pictures are showing the wall gone and the solution!

Worst blogger ever!!

I decided that I am the Worst Blogger EVER, and if there was an award I would win it over and over again!! So I am going to really try hard to be the better...so I am going to start from the current and then move back wards!! (HOPEFULLY!)

Memorial day! (just a little late)

For many memorial day is a day to remember those who have fought for us and our freedoms but today it had a little bit different meaning! The emotions are high today as I am taken back about 4 1/2-5 years when I met someone who is very special to me! MS. Lara (now MRS!) Let me tell you a little about her!
She is one of the strongest, faithful, loving, caring and determined people I know! Many of you are probably wondering what in the world she has to do with my memorial day...but to me she is everything we are celebrating! I met her when I was serving a mission in Washington. to spare you her personal details, I'll give the highlights. Lara wanted to be baptized but was not given permission. (she was only 17). She had so much faith and determination that right after her 18th birthday she was baptized! I was home from the mission at that point but was so lucky to be able to go back and surprise her for that special day! As I remember the process of teaching her and sharing the thing that I hold so dear to my heart,it was so amazing to see her love of the gospel grow. she knew it was true and wanted it in her life!(she is now approaching her 5 year anniversary of her baptism, and has been married in temple to an amazing man!...all without support from some important people).
One thing that is talked about is how much missionaries change people's lives, but not many talk about how really the lives that are changed the most are those serving and I can honestly say that Lara changed mine!
She showed me true courage, what it means to have faith, and act on it, not matter the opposition that we will face; when we know something is true we must follow through, and with time things all work out!
So Lara, as we celebrate those who have fought for us to have freedoms, THANK YOU for fighting for what you have! thank you for being a pioneer in your family, and thank you for touching my life, and being an example to me! you truly are so amazing! Thank you for letting me share the gospel of Jesus Christ with you! I love you lots! Heavenly Father knew that I needed you in my life when we met, and knows that this friendship that was formed through our love for our Savior is one that will last forever!

Lazy Saturdays

Ok not really lazy, but family time!
This last Saturday we worked in the yard and played with the Munchie! Have I ever mentioned how much she LOVES her daddy? When he is not at work she wants to be with him where ever he goes. I was lucky enough to have such an amazing hubby who let me go get my eyebrows waxed and shaped...pretty much a new do for the brows (I wish i would've taken a pic, because I have been growing them out and they were SWEET! but of course I could not find my camera). While I was gone Munchie just played and played with her dad! It just melts my heart to see them together.
I hope that others love their Saturdays as much as us!...oh and this weekend is supposed to be AMAZING again!! Whoo- Hoo!!

Munchie's 1st Birthday Party

The first birthday is one that many go all out for...and I have to admit I think we fell into that category! But it wasn't as bad as it could have been!
We decided to do cupcakes instead of a big cake. So don't judge the big cupcake because it was for her to "demolish"; but she choose to take the little sprinkles and eat them one by one...Silly girl! But she sure LOVES treats.
We sure love this little girl! HAPPY PARTY!!
PS I apologize for the sideways pics... I really am electronically challenged and need to figure out how to rotate them...dumb I know!:)

Better Late Than Never!!

Munchie's 1st year!
What a year! I don't think the mister and myself really understood what was coming our way when we found out we were pregnant. We had been so shocked to find out that we were (more me) that I took 11...yes, that is right 11 test to make sure; and then I still couldn't believe it! (that was until I started to puke every morning). But what an adventure it has been!
The Munch is always making us smile and laugh, and sometimes even a little crazy! But this little one knows what she wants and won't stop until she has it; which I think is a great thing and will serve her well as she gets older.
It is amazing to me how fast she has grown, but each day has been a learning experience for all of us! So with no further adu...a glimpse of Munchie's first year!
(just a note...pictures are not in any order;and I have misplaced some that I will add when I remember where that"special spot"is!!)

Really this is our first post!!

As we can tell we are new to the blog world!! (I'm electronically challenged, and never had time), but now that I (Karli) have the chance to be at home with the Munchie, I decided to give blogging a try! And really be able to document the adventures we have as a family!
So to fill you in on the last while. We had Munchie (nickname of course) almost one year ago! and time has flown! It has been such an adventure but one that has taught us so much!! We LOVE Munchie and cannot get enough of her! (even when she throws little tantrums...ok sometimes they aren't so little and give me some major anxiety for what is to come!) :) She is her daddy's princess and she loves to watch him leave for work and come home out the front window! They love to play and play and play! Not only do they love to play, but they both love food!! Ailee is also my little bug, and is always by side, and as of late literally won't leave my side! (she walks up to me grabs my leg and holds on even standing on my feet, which has made it challenging to move most day!!)
Munchie is Ms. social! She loves people, especially kids! She puts on quite a show whenever we are out, waving and smiling, saying hi and bye to all those we walk by! She also has what we call her shy face...recently has been changed to fat face! (picture to come...hopefully!) and she loves to make this face at her uncle Greg!! She is also so busy!! She started walking when she was 10 months old and hasn't stopped sense! She loves to be chased and hug her babies and takes her Ducky with her everywhere!
Needless to say we LOVE her and are pretty much obsessed with everything she does.
All in all this is us in a nutshell.
Feel free to check back and be filled in with the up, downs and in-betweens of this crazy thing we call life!
